EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

We’re looking for an Executive Director to help lead 541 into its next chapter.

Working closely with our Board, staff, and volunteers, this role supports our mission, day to day operations, and long term sustainability as we continue to grow our impact.

COMMUNITY HOST

The Community Host helps make 541 a welcoming, respectful place for everyone. This is not a support or counselling role. Hosts build positive connections, set clear boundaries, support the flow of the cafe, and help connect guests to external supports when needed.

If this sounds like you, read the full job description and apply below!

VOLUNTEER

From the kitchen to the front of house operations, we wouldn't be the same without our volunteers. They make up 50% of our team!

Our waitlist to become a volunteer is currently full. We'll add the form to apply once spots become available!

541 is situated on the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Mississaugas. This land is covered by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, which was an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabek to share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. We further acknowledge that this land is covered by the Between the Lakes Purchase, 1792, between the Crown and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We acknowledge our position as settlers on this land, and the harm that has been and continues to be caused by the breaking of these treaties.
